Hoop 1 layer tear away stabiliser for the smoothedge bibs or one layer Water soloble vilene for the lace edge bibs

Spray with 505 adhesive spray

Place one layer of Loomtex with the fluffy side facing up. Loomtex is a thin lined batting

Spray again with 505 adhesive spray

Place one layer of white polyester cotton fabrick on top of the Loomtex. Thread machine with marathon 40w.For the lace edge bibs I use the same color in the bobbin

If you use an unlined batting you will at this point slip another piece of polyester cotton between the frame and the machine so the batting is between the two layers of fabrick.Stitch the first color

Take away from machine but keep in hoop

Cut the fabrick and the loomtex away with an aplique scissor. If you used an unlined batting you will also have to cut the polyester away at the back.

The neckline will be cut away later. Fot the bibs with the button the neckline has to be cut away at this point

Stitch the rest of the bib

Tear away the stabiliser. In case of the lace edge bibs you wil now wash the bib to get rid of the stabiliser

Cut neckline leaving a

2mm edge from the stitching line

Cut 60cm binding, get centre of binding and centre of neckline

Fold binding around the egde

If your sewing machine does not have a binding foot, tack as shown before stitching.Follow these steps for all the quilt bibs. The last 6 steps are only for the bibs with the binding neckline. The other bibs are done with a in the hoop satin neckline and all you have to do is to sew the button
